Ribera del Duero, land of excellent wines. Here we can find some of the most prestigious wineries in the world, but this is not just the land of wines, it’s a land of castles, landscape, history, art and of course excellent food.

We will start our day visiting a traditional winery to learn about the winemaking process and the different classifications of wines from Ribera del Duero: Young, Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, you will also learn the different kinds of barrels used by the wineries to age their wines. After that, we will go to my favorite city in Ribera del Duero, Aranda del Duero, because the old city center is full of underground wineries with eight centuries of winemaking tradition and over 7 km of underground passages dug over 9m deep, where you will learn how wine was made in the ancient past, it is one of the most special experiences you can have with our Ribera Duero Wine Tour.

In the morning we will visit two of the best wineries in Ribera del Duero and then, enjoy an unforgettable Spanish style lunch of Castilian tapas, in a medieval town, while we walk it’s charming medieval cobblestone streets.

Same as “Ribera Duero Wine Tour, Half Day with lunch” and includes a visit to the vineyards with the enologist tasting their best wines.

We could not finish Ribera Duero Wine Tour without taking a stroll through one of its vineyards where the winemaker will show us the challenges that they face every year due to its special climate, dry hot summers, cold winters. Atlantic winds sometimes come through the River Valley, producing Spring frosts that can destroy the whole harvest. If they don’t happen they can produce excellent harvests.

After that we will taste the best estate wines, a great opportunity to learn firsthand from the experience of an expert enologist with centuries of wine-growing tradition.

Ribera del Duero is famous for its incredible roasts in wood fired ovens.Our Specialty is Roasted Suckling Lamb with salt that they smoke in clay casseroles. Tender soft and juicy the lamb is a temptation for anybody that enjoys great gastronomy and we offer this experience with the winemaker, the best experience that you can have in the region.
